It’s here! It has arrived!
After many, many months of waiting and putting off and a lot of faffing around in general really, Denise Mitchell Music is finally up and running, thank goodness! There just seems to have been one delay after the other and so many things that I couldn’t make my mind up about…
Anyway, as this is the first post on the blog I’ll keep it short and sweet. It’s really just a little introduction to say ‘Hi! I’m here.’ and it also gives people something to read should they somehow stumble across the blog as they traverse the blogosphere.
So, those of you who know me already from having had lessons and/or coaching with me in the past or through the various social media platforms, know what I do. If you don’t know who I am though, you can check out my details on the ABOUT PAGE.
In brief, I’m a music teacher, (singing, piano and theory) based in North East Scotland and online, and I’m also a performance and confidence coach who helps musicians and performers of all ages and abilities to take their performances to the next level – whatever that level might be. If you’re interested in finding out more about my teaching and/or coaching services, you can get in touch with me using any of the methods listed on the CONTACT PAGE.
And now on to…
Although this is a very short, introductory post I still want you to get something out of it and the take-away that I want to give you today is this:
Performances that you give are not about you. They’re never about you.
You can tweet that if you like.
It’s not easy but if you can truly get your head around that, your musical and artistic performances will improve dramatically. More to come on that in future posts though.
And that’s about it for today.
I have all sorts of music and performance related posts planned for the future so don’t forget to keep checking back to find out what’s going on. You can also sign up for the Newsletter. That way you can make sure that you never miss a thing and you’ll also be privy to other info that won’t/can’t be found anywhere else. You’ll find the form in the sidebar over on the right-hand side.
You can also keep up with me on all the usual social media platforms. Just click on the little buttons above the newsletter sign-up form or on any of the links in the CONTACT PAGE.
Until the next time,
